We arrived at the Sheraton in Agoura Hills to document Heather and Delmar getting ready for their big day.

While Robert went upstairs to spend the next hour with Delmar during his preparations, I went with Jessica to Heather’s room to photograph the details.

While we were busy with rings and things, Heather was getting flawless make-up done by Starlynn Burden.

And, with the help of her mother and sisters, Heather then stepped into her ruffled and rhinestoned dress and Badgley Mischka shoes.

Delmar, with a little help from son, Aiden, and his father, put on the finishing touches.

The wedding location they chose in Malibu could not have been more perfect for Heather and Delmar, classic, elegant, beautiful.  It had a gorgeous panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean offset by the cliffs and beautiful palm trees and flowers lining the property at Cypress Sea Cove Estate.

The details and Heather’s chosen colors of light turquoise and taupe were a perfect complement to the seaside theme.

The day was meticulously coordinated by A Diamond Affair.  Laura and Garry with their uber-assistants, Megan, Jessica and Luca, pulled off a fabulously indulgent sea side wedding.

They decided not to do a first look, so once Delmar and his groomsmen arrived to the property, they took a path down to the beach to hang out and wait for the beginning of the ceremony and most importantly, were completely out of sight when Heather and her girls arrived minutes later.

Heather is beaming as she walks down the aisle with her father and so is Delmar when he catches his first glimpse of his bride coming towards him.

We planned our day so we we were able to have two portraits sessions: one right after the ceremony…

…and more at sunset down on the beach.

Luckily for me, they’re not only a beautiful couple, but they go with the flow! High tide was upon us and before we knew it, we were drenched.  But they kept on going!
